Youth Development Work Program

The Grandma Home House Retreat (TGHHR) believes that one of the most important things it can do for youth is to help them acquire values, skills, and personal connections that they can utilize throughout their lives. TGHHR is a major bridge builder, connecting youth with their peers and with adult mentors. Youth working with TGHHR have increased chances of leading excellent lives as individuals and as citizens personally, professionally, and within their communities.

Through working at TGHHR, youth learn important life skills and values, including the following:

Through the Youth Development Work Program, TGHHR strives to instill the above values, skills, and a sense of world-readiness within youth. The company teaches its part-time, youth employees that there is value and dignity in honest work. The program is designed to strengthen and mold youth within the surrounding communities into responsible, socially-conscious, and skilled people through such work as: Event Planning, Venue & Equipment Maintenance, Guests Supervision & Assistance, Activity Facilitation, and more.
